The IA 150 inspiratory adapter is a compatible tool with the EMST device to serve the dual purpose of training both the inspiratory and expiratory muscles. With the IA 150, muscles such as the diaphragm, external intercostals, accessory muscles of the neck which are mainly responsible for breathing and lung functions can be trained effectively. The benefits include better diaphragmattic breathing, reduced shortness of breath and airway obstruction, improved cough reflex to clear mucus and secretions.
